This piece uses strips of a mixed media illustration and paper with suminagashi marbling. Strips of each medium are arranged in columns and mounted on white. They gravitate around a white striped central totem within the illustration that rises from a cascading black veil. Blacks, greens, and whites ungulate around each other without blending. The piece captures the colors and figures in each medium and the media in the process of diffusion.
